Following on from a very successful ‘Cadet week’, The Solway yacht club put on a week of good racing and socialising for ‘Kippford week‘. The weather was good, with some extremely hot and sunny days and it was a great sight to see so many boats on the water. From the house we were able to watch them head out to the start of the race, returning a few hours later. Viewing from ‘Rough Firth beach’ we could see the racing, with partners, parents, children and friends eagerly sharing binoculars to try and work out the position of their loved ones in the race.
Very warm and sunny evenings were spent either at the social events at the yacht club, barbecuing in the garden or at The Anchor for dinner or to catch up with friends.
