It was a gorgeous sunset when the RNLI crew went out for their weekly practice session last Thursday evening. We enjoyed watching them launch the lifeboat at the end of our driveway. Later we watched them return, from the balcony of our house. Kippford village is always grateful for the work that the RNLI do and we are lucky to have a D class inshore lifeboat, manned by a trained volunteer crew, based in Kippford. I hope that our visitors will support their well stocked shop within the village, again manned by volunteers, with all profits going to the RNLI.
